Magnetic Molecular Imprinted Polymers-Based Nanozyme for Specific Colorimetric Detection of Protocatechuic Acid

Magnetic molecular imprinted polymers nanozyme MIPs@Fe3O4-NH2 with high specificity and excellent peroxidase-like activity was prepared for colorimetric detection of protocatechuic acid (PCA). Firstly, obtained by self-polymerization dopamine as a functional monomer on the surface Fe3O4-NH2, enabling formation specific recognition cavities. Later, elution PCA using polar solvents resulted in creation well-defined sites MIPs@Fe3O4-NH2. The synthesized exhibits rapid selective magnetic separation PCA. Meanwhile, possesses activity, it to undergo reaction 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) presence H2O2 leading distinct color change. When 3D cavities specifically bind PCA, they restrict exposures nanozyme’s hinder their contact chromogenic substrate, which decreases absorbance system. Based this phenomenon, demonstrates good linear relationship between decrease concentration within range 1 250 μM, limit 0.84 μM. Notably, method offers selectivity, presents straightforward preparation process, allowing easy visualization results. Consequently, provides promising versatile strategy subsequent development sensors based polymers.
